I am very excited as I write this column this week. First … the weather! Spring is here! It is so nice to see the geese and to feel a warmer sun. It is so encouraging.
The second reason is that this is the week of our Annual Recognition Dinner on Thursday (tomorrow), April 16 at the Caribou Inn & Convention Center. To refresh your memory, we are honoring Echoes Magazine, The Aroostook Republican, Shear Precision, Reno’s Family Restaurant, Russell’s Motel, Gaughan’s Berry Farm, The Thursdays on Sweden Committee, Bryan Thompson and Bill Thomas.
If you still want to come, tickets at the door are $35 per person and will include a wonderful meal. A cash bar will be provided and a chance to play our “Let’s Make a Deal” game! Please come and celebrate the best of our area!
If that’s not all, we are currently taking placements on our City-Wide Yard Sale map for the big weekend of May 16 and 17. This annual event is one of the highlights of our calendar as people from all over will be jamming our streets to find those special deals. Come in today (so you don’t forget!) and sign up for your yard sale. The deadline for being on the map is April 30.
That’s all for today as I have a lot of work to do! Have a great week and I hope to see you at the Annual Recognition Dinner!
