Collins joins Phi Kappa Phi

BATON ROUGE, LA — The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi has announced that Annie Collins of Caribou was recently initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.


Collins was initiated at the University of Maine in Orono, and is among approximately 32,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into the society each year. Membership is by invitation and requires nomination and approval by a chapter.
Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine and headquartered in Baton Rouge, La., Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline honor society. Some notable members include former President Jimmy Carter, NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence and novelist David Baldacci.


 

Caribou native graduates from Troy

    TROY, ALA. — David Lewis of Caribou has graduated from Troy University during term 3 of the 2014-15 academic year.
Lewis attended Troy’s Global Campus and graduated with a bachelor of science degree from the College of Arts and Sciences.
