Frost Library receives grant

LIMESTONE, Maine — The Robert A. Frost Memorial Library recently received a $550 grant from the Rose and Samuel Rudman Library Trust of the Maine Community Foundation to fund a series of programs with children’s author Fran Hodgkins in Aroostook County.


According to Librarian Jessica Givens, the Rudman grant will be used to bring Hodgkins to Aroostook County May 8 and 9 for a series of programs based on her newest book, “The Secret Galaxy.” Her presentation will be the centerpiece of Frost Memorial Library’s “Astronomy Day at the Library,” which will be held May 8th at 3:00 pm.
The author will also hold special programs at the Dawn F. Barnes Elementary School in Caswell Friday morning, May 8; at the Fort Fairfield Public Library Saturday, May 9, at 10 a.m.; and at the Francis Malcolm Science Center in Easton May 9 at 2 p.m.
