CARIBOU – Gertrude Blanchette Wright, 87, passed away May 9, 2015, at Caribou. She was born in Caribou, the daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Michaud) Trombley.
Mrs. Wright was a lifelong member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a member of the Henry B. Pratt Post 15 American Legion and well as the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW Ladies Auxiliaries. Gertrude loved to cook. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with her son Floyd and her grandchildren.
Mrs. Wright was predeceased by her first husband, Elmer Blanchette; her second husband, John Wright; three brothers, Arthur Tardiff, Harold and Edward Trombley; and a sister, Alice Marie Beaupre. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Judy Blanchette of Coventry, CT; two grandchildren, Tina Marie Rheaume and Raymond Blanchette; four great-grandchildren Kyle, Brianna and Chandler St. Georges and Ashton Blanchette; nine nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday May 13, 2015 from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery.
