    CONNOR TWP – Conrad G. Caron, 70 years young, passed away unexpectedly May 9, 2015, at Bangor. He was born in Caribou April 4, 1945, the son of the late Joseph and Laura (Ouellette) Caron.
    He was a 1963 graduate of Caribou High School and served with the US Army during Vietnam. On May 28, 1966, he married his high school sweetheart, April Martin. Conrad retired after working a career in the potato manufacturing industry. His retirement was spent doing what he loved most, woodworking, playing and working with his mini horses, and traveling with his wife. Mr. Caron was an active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where he and his wife served as greeters.
    Conrad was a kind and compassionate husband, father, brother and friend. He was taken from us suddenly and he will be truly missed.
    Surviving in addition to his wife, April of Connor, are his children, Marty Caron of San Diego, CA, and Michele Caron of Benton City, WA; his special “four legged kids” Coco, Lolly and Pepper; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Louis and Muriel Caron, Joe and Annette Caron and Bert and Rose Caron, all of Caribou; two sisters, Blanche Bouchard and Virginia Martin, both of Caribou; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gloria and Clifford Martin of Caribou; many nieces and nephews.
    A Mass of Christian Burial was  celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday May 12, 2015, from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. John Paul Labrie, officiating. Interment was in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Following the service, all were invited to visit with the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the parish hall.
