Recommends seeing concert

To the editor:
On Saturday, May 30, at 7 p.m. at the Caribou Performing Arts Center, a group called the Aroostook River Voices will be putting on a show to benefit the Veterans’ Memorial Park. I had never heard of them until about a year ago when I had the pleasure of attending one of their concerts in Presque Isle.

What a surprise it was to see and hear this group sing and play their instruments. They are truly a multi-talented group with a varied repertoire, and it was very clear that they also have quite a following.
Lots of times when someone unfamiliar to us comes to Caribou to perform, it is difficult to get a large crowd motivated to take the time to attend the performance. Don’t let this one slip by. You don’t have to buy a ticket, it’s free, but donations will be welcome, and they will go to the Memorial Park. This is a great way to spend a Saturday evening and you’ll have a lot of fun! Come and enjoy this very talented group.
