Machias Savings Bank 13, S.W. Collins 1

    Strong pitching from Brayden Willette led Machias Savings to the May 22 win over S.W. Collins. Willette pitched 5-2/3 innings, allowing one run and striking out 14. Kaden Demerchant picked up the final out.
Offensively, MSB was led by Zach Madore, who had four hits, including a pair of triples.
S.W. Collins was led on the mound by Tyler Soucy, who also helped out his cause at the plate with a double and scored his team’s only run.

Machias Savings Bank 6, Police 2

    On May 19, Brevin Barnes led Machias Bank at the plate and on the mound, pitching a complete game and striking out 12. Offensively, he paced the offense with an inside-the-park home run and three runs scored. Camryn Ala was solid behind the plate for the defense.
Police was led on the mound by Cameron Ouellette and at the plate by Jeramy Bolen with a triple and a single.

Hannaford 4, S.W. Collins 0

   In a game that featured a great pitching duel in the first three innings, Hannaford used a three-run fourth inning to provide a shutout victory over SW Collins.
Ethan Holdsworth of Hannaford and Caleb Espling of S.W. Collins both pitched very well for their teams, with both going into the fifth inning. Holdsworth helped his own cause with an inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the third to give Hannaford a 1-0 lead. In the fourth, Miles Collier, Destinee Goodridge and Lars Spooner each scored runs with Spooner reaching on a single.
S. W. Collins put several base runners in scoring position but could not come up with a timely hit to get into the scoring column. Jude Shea reached base three times, all on walks. Espling also drew two walks in the game.

MVH/VFW 10, Hannaford 3

    On a frigid night, Jake Berkoski dominated on the mound, pitching a complete-game two-hitter with one walk and and 15 strikeouts. Berkoski also led the MVH-VFW offense by scoring three runs on four hits with two double and two triples.
Hannaford struggled both at the plate and in the field, tallying only two hits with 16 errors. Sawyer Deprey took the loss pitching 4-1/3 innings while allowing five runs on seven hits with four walks and six strikeouts.

Sleepers 19, KeyBank 10

    At White Field on May 18, Hayden Hunter had a triple, double and two singles and five RBI to lead a strong Sleepers offense to a victory against KeyBank. He also went five innings on the mound, giving up five runs while striking out 11 batters.
First-year player Landon Plourde had three singles for his first Little League hits and Ezra Judd had three hits and scored four runs.
For KeyBank, Cullin Caverhill scored three times, while Liam Martin, Jakeb Pelletier and Ashton Beauchamp all had hits to lead the offense.

Eagles 3, Hannaford 0

    In a game that took just over an hour to play, Dominick Crouch was dominant as the winning pitcher, pitching 5-2/3 innings while giving up no runs on five hits with one walk and 12 strikeouts. The Eagles’ offense featured the power of Keith Bray, who in two at bats registered a triple and a home run and driving in two of the Eagles three runs on the night.
Hannaford’s Miles Collier took the loss in his first outing of the year, pitching five strong innings while giving up three runs on three hits with two walks and 12 strikeouts. Offensively, Hannaford struggled at the plate with few highlights to report, although Lars Spooner did register his first career Little League hit.

Sleepers 20, K of C 2

    Devin White hit for the cycle, including an inside-the-park home run, to lead Sleepers past the Knights of Columbus. White also pitched to all but one batter, giving up only a single hit to record the win. Logan Cheplic came on in relief for the final out. Isaac Saucier had two singles and Alex Belanger doubled, while Ezra Judd and Keenen McDougall had base hits for Sleepers.
For the Knights of Columbus, Corey Herbert was very effective in the three innings he pitched, holding Sleepers to four runs. Offensively, Zach Caron had a double.

Sleepers 2, North Stars 1

    Hayden Hunter pitched a complete game for Sleepers Saturday morning to lead his team to a thrilling 2-1 victory over the North Stars.
The Stars’ Carter Quist matched Hunter with a terrific performance on the mound, going into the fifth inning before giving way to Riley Bouchard. In a scoreless game in the fifth inning, the North Stars scratched out a run when Oliver Peterson reached on an error and then Quist scorched one to left field, with the ball getting by the left fielder and going to the fence. Peterson scored on the hit.
In the bottom half of the inning, Sleepers loaded the bases on consecutive walks to bring Hunter to the plate. He hit a hard shot to third and the third baseman got the force out, but not before Evan Rossignol scored the tying run. Devin White then singled, driving in Zach Judd, who scored from second base. Hunter retired the side in the sixth with some nifty defensive help from first baseman Logan Greene to record the win.

Machias Savings Bank 3, Eagles 1

    Brevin Barnes pitched his second complete game of the year to help lead his team past the previously undefeated Eagles. He gave up only four hits and one walk and struck out 12. He also teamed up with catcher Camryn Ala to cut down two Woodland runners at the plate.
Offensively, MSB was led by Zach Madore with a triple and a single and Ala added 2 singles.
The Eagles got a strong start from Keith Bray, who fanned eight of the nine batters he faced. Dominic Crouch was the hard luck loser, giving up three runs to the first three batters he faced before settling down to keep the game close.

Tigers 11, Northstars 8

    Rylan Masse pitched five innings for the Tigers with Bryant Hayes and Tanner Prashaw closing out the win. The Tigers had solid at bats with PJ Thornton, Prashaw, Matt McCormack, Rylan Masse, Brooke Moir, Hayes and Lexie Parker all making solid contact.
Northstar pitchers were Oliver Peterson and Kolby Fisher. Carter Quist had a solid offensive outing for Northstars along with Riley Bouchard and Gabby Anderson. Arie Easter and Phoebe Solman recorded their first career hits.

Machias Savings Bank 5, KeyBank 1

    Brayden Willette pitched 5 no-hit innings, striking out 11 and allowing one run to carry his team to the win. Offensively Machias was led by Brevin Barnes with a double and two runs scored.
Cullin Caverhill was strong on the mound for Key, surrendering only two hits while striking out nine over five innings.
Both pitchers were aided by solid defense behind them.
