Honor parts named at area schools

Outing leads CHS honor part list


    CARIBOU, Maine — Principal Mark Jones has announced the official Honor Parts for Caribou High School’s graduating Class of 2015. Morgan Outing has earned the distinction of Valedictorian while the 2015 CHS Salutatorian is Albany McCabe.
Graduation exercises will be held Sunday, June 14 at 2 p.m. in the CHS gymnasium.

Valedictorian Outing, the daughter of Henry Outing and Julie Houston, has been involved in soccer, basketball and softball throughout her high school career. She has also served four years as a class officer and was a member of the National Honor Society and World Language Club her junior and senior years.  Outing’s continuing education plans include attending the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
The daughter of Jesse and Anita McCabe, Salutatorian Albany has been involved in Writers’ Group, Drama Club and Chorus during her time at CHS. Her continuing education plan is undetermined.
First Honor Part Brendan Cyr, the son of Kevin and Gail Cyr, plans to attend St. Lawrence University.
Second Honor Part Dylan Conroy, the son of Ralph and Victoria Conroy, was a four-year member of the Math Team. In athletics, he participated on varsity baseball and ski team. He plans to attend the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
Third Honor Part Kristin Macek is the daughter of David and Julia Macek. She participated in cross country for three years and track and field for two seasons. She plans to attend the University of New England.
Fourth Honor Part Dylan Damboise,  the son of Earl and Julie Damboise, competed on the Math Team. He plans to continue his education at Virginia Tech.
The son of Reginald and Kristi Michaud, Fifth Honor Part Kristopher Michaud was a four-year member of Cross Country, Track, Gifted and Talented and Band. He also participated in NHS, Student Council, Language Club, Drama, Yearbook, Jazz Band and was a homeroom rep for two years. He plans to attend the University of Maine.
Sixth Honor Part Brianna Judd, daughter of Brandon and AnnaMarie Judd, was a four-year Volleyball and Basketball player, as well as a member of the tennis and soccer teams. She also participated in DECA, Show Choir, Math Team and NHS and served as senior class treasurer. Her Continuing Education plans include Brigham Young University.
Seventh Honor Part Nathan Wall, son of Brian and Christina Wall, participated in Student Council, Jayvee and Varsity Basketball and National Honor Society. He plans to attend Taylor University.
Eighth Honor Part Courtney Cote, daughter of Jeffrey and Tamara Cote, was active in JV Softball, Swimming and Volleyball as well as NHS. She served four years as a homeroom rep. Her plans to attend the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
Ninth Honor Part Gavin Levesque is the son of Brian Levesque. He plans to continue his education at the University of Maine.
10th Honor Part Sarah Doak, daughter of Timothy and Cheri Doak, was a four-year member of varsity soccer, varsity skiing and varsity track. She also participated in Student Council, World Languages Club and NHS. Her Continuing Education plan includes the University of Maine.

 

Woodworth is LCS Valedictorian


    LIMESTONE, Maine — Travis Barnes, principal at Limestone Community School, has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2015. Kareena Woodworth is the LCS Valedictorian while Sirrea Deschenes is the school’s Salutatorian. Graduation exercises will be held Friday, June 12 at 7 p.m.
Woodworth is the vice president of her senior class and president of the school’s National Honor Society chapter. She also recently received the Maine Principal’s Award and attended a ceremony in honor of the recipients in Augusta.
Woodworth has been active on Student Council throughout her High School career, and has also participated on the Civil Rights Team. Kareena has received numerous academic and athletic awards as well.
The daughter of Wade and Jennifer Woodworth of Limestone, Kareena will be attending University of Maine at Presque Isle this fall, majoring in English with a minor in pre-law, before going on to law school.
Deschenes is the senior class president and a member of the Student Council. She has also participated on the school’s Civil Rights Team.
She is currently enrolled in the Health and Medical Sciences program at the Caribou Regional Applied Technology Center.
The daughter of Dana and Colleen Deschenes of Limestone, Sirrea will be attending UMFK this fall and will be enrolled in the nursing program then plans to continue on to graduate school to pursue her dream of becoming a family nurse practitioner.
