King to direct Red Cross

BS-RedCross-DCX-SHAR-24 Tnail    Caroline King has been promoted to executive director of the Northern And Eastern Chapter of the American Red Cross in Maine.
    In this role, she will work to increase community awareness, participation and commitment to the humanitarian mission of the Red Cross, and will lead the chapter’s fundraising efforts.

    King has been with the Red Cross since 1994, when she started as a college intern and volunteer at the Western Illinois Chapter. Her roles have included supporting services to the Armed Forces, disaster services, and as interim chapter executive in mid-coast Maine. She recently was major gifts officer for the state.
    The Northern and Eastern Chapter is based in Bangor, with an office in Caribou.
    King, and her husband, Michael, are relocating from Madrid, Maine, to the Bangor area.
