  American Flag ColorARSH James EsteyCARIBOU – James Roland Estey, 84, went home to be with his Lord June 8, 2015, at Presque Isle. He was born in Fort Fairfield on June 18, 1930, the son of the late James and Margaret (O’Neal) Estey.
    Mr. Estey served with the U.S. Army and on November 2, 1959, he married Faye Grant. He was a member of the New Life Baptist Church and he and his wife owned and operated Mom and Dad’s Gift Shop on the Presque Isle Road for many years.
    Surviving in addition to his wife of over 56 years, Faye of Presque Isle, are one son, James Estey and his companion, Sandra Whiting, of Pelham, NH; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Wayne Boulier of Presque Isle, and Cindy and Ron Shepard of Tyler, TX; one brother, Cecil Estey, and one sister, Cecelia Driscoll, both of Fort Fairfield; two grand-children, Meghan and Kaitlyn Estey; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Estey was predeceased by a brother, Vincent, and two sisters, Alda Butler and Inez Doughty.
    Graveside services were  held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, from the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Joe Mortland officiating.  The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Leisure Village, TAMC and Presque Isle Rehab and Nursing for the excellent care and compassion shown to James these past few months.
