CARIBOU – Eldora Catherine Corriveau, 80, passed away July 2, 2015, after a long battle with cancer at Caribou. She was born in Washburn on October 15, 1934, the daughter of  the late Clarence  and Gladys (Hathaway) Dow Sr.
She graduated from Hartland Academy in 1953 and was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Eldora had many careers other than being a stay at home mother. She was employed by Grants Department Store, Millers Discount, Converse shoe plant and Mecon. Eldora loved taking in stray cats, looking for deals at yard sales, plant flowers in her garden, snipping pieces of plants that caught her interest from wherever they may be to transplant at home and telling stories and jokes. Her most rewarding gift was being a grandmother.
Mrs Corriveau was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Joseph Lindy Corriveau; son, Timothy M. Corriveau; and two brothers, Clarence B. Dow Jr. and Ainslie Dow. Eldora is survived by her brother, Freeman F. Dow and his wife, Susan, of Caribou; her four daughters and three sons-in-law, Bonnie and Galen Sanfacon of Caribou, Cindy and Keith Miller of Newburgh, Ellie and Troy Lagasse of Caribou, and Valarie Corriveau of Barre, VT; one son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Sheri Corriveau of Chelsea. “MeMe” aka “MiMi” will be sadly missed by her five grandchildren, Christina Corriveau and Grace and Faith Lagasse, Lydia (Sanfacon) Christi  and Matthew Sanfacon; and her three great-grandchildren, Emma Christi and Makayla and Ethan Miller. Eldora had many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much and all could spin a wild tale or two about some of her antics.
