Officials at the Caribou Public Library have announced that the facility is among the 2015 Children’s Book Project grant award winners from The Pilcrow Foundation.
The library received from the foundation 37 books with a total retail value of $605.45.
“We also received an additional 22 new math and science books, a $404.56 value, from generous donors in correlation with the Pilcrow Foundation: Hal Berenson and Laura Ackerman,” said Katie Wilcox-Bosse, youth services director at the library.
“The Caribou Public Library would also like to thank our contributing community member Philip Turner for providing the money for the 2:1 grant match. Without his contribution the library would be at a loss for this grant,” Wilcox-Bosse added.
The library hopes to see more patrons utilize the library’s resources, especially with the influx of new materials.
“Patrons of all ages can be reached with the morals, knowledge and information divulged from imagery and literature,” said Wilcox-Bosse.
