To the editor:
I feel compelled to share my disgust and disappointment with someone that can stoop so low as to steal items from one’s grave.
There was a beautiful small cedar tree in a pot stolen from my husband’s grave this past week. This is the third time items have been taken from my family’s grave sites at Evergreen. Also this year, some large geraniums planted in the ground were dug up on my parents’ grave site just a short distance from my recent theft.
Three years ago I had a beautiful box filled by my local florist stolen the week of Memorial Day. I take pride in keeping this grave site well groomed with grass trimmed and plants watered – guess that someone else appreciates them also.
