Annual walk to support MS services, research

     CARIBOU, Maine — About 100 people are expected to raise $10,000 to support research, programs and services for people living with multiple sclerosis at the annual Walk MS: Caribou, slated for Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015.

      The local Walk MS will take place at Cary Medical Center, with check-in at 9 a.m. and the walk starting at 10 a.m. Participants have the option of walking 3.5- or 1.25-mile fully accessible routes.  

     The event is an opportunity for people living with MS and those who care about them to connect and join together to be inspired and raise critical funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Each year, nearly 333,000 people participate across the country.  

      Proceeds raised will support cutting-edge MS research and life-changing programs and services for people living with MS.
