At the Houlton Country Club Sept. 9, Caribou dropped matches to the host Shires and the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx to fall to 1-4 on the season.
Team scores were: Mattanawcook, 163; Houlton, 171; and Caribou, 192. Ryan Dee of Houlton was the medalist on the day with a 35.
For Caribou, Donovan Savage, Tyler Dombroski and Gabe Rand all shot 48 on the day.
Caribou plays its next match at Presque Isle Country Club Friday. The two teams will be part of the Caribou Invitational, set for Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m. Houlton and Hodgdon will also make the trip up for the tourney.
Fort Fairfield beat up on Central Aroostook last Wednesday, 9-2, and is now preparing for Friday’s Aroostook League Championship to be held at VaJoWa in Island Falls beginning at 9 a.m. Central Aroostook, Hodgdon and Southern Aroostook are the other teams taking part in the event, which also serves as a qualifier for the state tournaments in October.
