Woodland Selectpeople not going to pre-buy fuel

WOODLAND, Maine — The Woodland Selectpeople decided not to buy fuel upfront during their Sept. 15, 2015 meeting.

The reasoning for this decision is that the prices are already significantly low, thus eliminating the any reason to set a steady price.

A motion was made to fix the roof of the town office, which was originally installed in 1989. Selectpeople proposed to spend $13,486 with Powers Sheet Metal of Caribou to fix the roof, which they accepted.

The board also held open bids on a property acquired on the Carson Road. The property was awarded to Travis and Jessica Cote with a winning bid of $5,021.
