The Shires came away with the win with a stroke total of 358. Caribou was next with 385 and Presque Isle third with 395. Hodgdon did not have enough golfers participating to figure into the team results.

Leading the way for the host Vikings was Donovan Savage, who had an 85 on the day. Tyler Dombroski was next with 93, while Ricky Sheldon and Gabe Rand both carded 103s.

Hunter Flynn of Presque Isle was the medalist with an 80. Drew Marino had an 83 and Ryan Dee an 84 for the victorious Shires. Ben Tuttle’s 87 led the Hawks.

The tournament served as preparation for the upcoming Penobscot Valley Conference match, to be held at Lincoln’s JaTo Highlands Oct. 1. It used the same format as designating five starters and using scores of the top four to come up with the team title.

In a regular season match held Friday at Presque Isle Country Club, the Vikings won by a single stroke over the Wildcats, 193-194. Dombroski medaled with a 44. Savage had a 47 and Bailey Griffeth a 50 for the winners. Flynn shot a 45 for PI.
