Carolyn Jean Longley

      CARIBOU — Carolyn Jean Longley, 65, passed away October 10, 2015 at her Caribou residence surround- ed by her loving family and friends following a long battle with cancer. She was born in Caribou March 18, 1950, the daughter of the late Oran and Mary (Paquin) Holmes.

     Carolyn was a graduate of Easton High School and she married Robert Longley, June 28, 1975. She was employed at McCain Foods in Easton and retired as a supervisor after 36 years. Carolyn truly enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to travel and go camping. She also enjoyed spending a little time at the casino.

     Surviving in addition to her husband of over 40 years, Robert, of Caribou, are her brothers, Oran Holmes Jr., Jarvis Holmes, Larry Holmes, and Douglas Holmes all of Easton, and Dwight Holmes of Fryeburg; her sisters, Mona Cyr and Delores Strout both of Presque Isle, Evelyn Stickney of Easton and Ann White of Bangor; special nephew Greg White, as well as, special nieces Chris Elliott, Heidi Johnston, Janice Rines and Jennifer White; and a special and lifelong friend Sherry Kinney and family.

     Mrs. Longley was prede- ceased by a brother, Galen, and a sister, Wilma Boyington.

     Friends may visit with the family 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 15, 2015 until time of services at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. Services will be held at 12 noon with Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
