Rex A. Griffeth

     CARIBOU  — Rex A. Griffeth, 52, passed away unexpectedly October 28, 2015 at his Caribou residence.

     He was born in Fort Fairfield August 11, 1963 the son of Wayne and Catherine (Hodges) Griffeth. Rex was a 1981 graduate of Presque Isle High School as well as receiving his degree in diesel hydraulics in 1992 from NMVTI. He married Sharon King July 11, 1987. Rex was a jack of all trades and was employed as a truck driver, a diesel mechanic as well as working for several area potato growers. He was a member of the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church. 

     Surviving in addition to his wife and his parents, all of Caribou, are his son, Philip Griffeth, and wife Lauren, and his daughter, Casandra Griffeth, and fiancé Kyle Vislosky, all of Presque Isle; one brother, Wayne Griffeth Jr. and husband, David Hurst of Charleston, one sister, Roxann Alley and husband Eric of Stockholm;  three grandchildren; Shawn Christopher, Kylie Renee and Thomas John Griffeth; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Griffeth was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Johnson and Debra Hall, and a nephew, Ryan Griffeth. 

     Friends called  at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 6-8 p.m. Monday. Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2015, from the Chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Rosser officiating.
