To the editor:
Probably not many of you are aware of the city office wanting to sell the parking lots in downtown Caribou to private buyers.
If this is allowed I hope you all understand what will happen. First off it will hurt all the local businesses. Then, before you know it, there will be parking meters to soak up what little money some of you have when needing to visit these places. And who knows, Sitel could purchase all of them and where would anyone park? It would also hurt the Thursday Night fun time in the city.
This idea needs to be looked at more than just a money issue as everything else is. What is wrong with our city office, or rather what is wrong with those running the City Hall? “We The People” are just saying!
