Maxine N. McLaughlin

     CARIBOU — Maxine N. McLaughlin, 85, died November 19, 2015 at home with her loved ones at her side. She was born December 6, 1929 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Gilbert and Berta (Sullivan) Barnes.

     Maxine was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodland. A loving mother, grandmother and avid crafter. She truly enjoyed making memory bears. She also loved to travel and re-decorate her home. One of her favorite past times was shopping and spending time with her sister, Rowena. She married Raymond McLaughlin on March 22, 1946. She was pre-deceased by her husband of more than 58 years. 

     Maxine is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Wendy McLaughlin of New Sweden, Judi Sprague of Anchorage, Alaska, Wanda and Markus Reynolds of New Sweden, and Linda McLaughlin of Caribou; one sister, Rowena Rand of Presque Isle; grandchildren, Terry Hebert, Jerry McLaughlin Jr., Debbie Ouellette, Vickie Leavens, Wendy Sprague, Brian Dube, Chad Doody, Chelsea Reynolds and McKenzie Rossignol; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Maxine was also pre-deceased by her son, Raymond McLaughlin Jr., grandson Mark Skidgel; two sisters, Marion Parsons and Abby Williams. 

     Funeral Services were held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the First Baptist Church of Woodland with Pastor Ron Rossier officiating. Interment followed in the family lot Woodland Cemetery. The family invited friends and relatives to join them at the Church from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 following the burial their will be a Memorial gathering at the church. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Greenlawn Funeral Directors, Bangor.
