Recreation center hours

     Hours at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday from noon-4 p.m. The facility is closed Sundays.

New Year’s Eve party

     The Caribou Celebrates Friends and Family New Year’s Eve Bash is set for Thursday, Dec. 31 from 7 p.m.-midnight at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center.

     Music will begin at 9 p.m., featuring the band French Toast. There is no admission fee and hot dogs and snack food will be available at no charge. The event involves a ball drop, inflatables, a bonfire and games.

Dodgeball for adults

     The third annual adult dodgeball tournament is set for Jan. 16. High school-age students and adults are eligible and the format is a round-robin, followed by elimination play. The fee is $60 per team and the deadline to register is Jan. 13. Entry forms and roster sheets are available at the recreation center.

Winter programs

     Basketball and cheering programs are being offered at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Grades 5-6 boys and grades 4-6 girls begin the first week of January 2016 and run through mid-March. The boys’ programs meets from 3-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and some Fridays and the girls at the same time Mondays, Wednesdays and some Fridays.

     Cheering began recently and runs through mid-March. It is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5 p.m.

     The fee is $10 for residents and $25 for non-residents.

     The ski daddle program is for grades 3-5 and begins Jan. 8, 2016. It meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4:30 p.m. with the same registration fees.
