Financial software training set in PI

     PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A free training session is planned Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 to acquaint participants with how to use QuickBooks effectively.

     The Maine Small Business Development Center at Northern Maine Development Commission (NMDC) in Caribou, the NMDC business finance division, and the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Employer U Workforce Development Program are teaming up to offer the workshop, which will be held at UMPI’s Campus Center from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

     Mike Quinlan, CPA, of Rockwell & Quinlan CPAs Inc. in Caribou, along with Lee Theriault, CPA, of the office of Lee R. Theriault in Fort Kent, will provide the training. Both are QuickBooks certified advisers.

     “Knowing the ins and outs of QuickBooks is essential for small and medium-sized business owners,” said Josh Nadeau, SBDC counselor at NMDC. “This daylong training will teach business owners how to effectively use QuickBooks, which can improve the bottom line for any business.”
