CARIBOU —Gilbert Albert, 72, passed away February 13, 2016 at his Caribou residence. He was born in Caribou, July 12, 1943, the son of the late Peter and Mary (Levesque) Albert.

Mr. Albert was a 1963 graduate of Caribou High School. Upon graduation he served with the United States Navy and later worked at Aroostook Shoe in Presque Isle. He enjoyed taking care of his plants, going for walks, and watching television.
He is survived by two brothers, Edgar “Haze” Albert of Clayville, RI, and Donald Albert of Caribou, two sisters, Mary Soucy of Clayville, RI, and Beatrice Levasseur of Caribou, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Maurice “Morris” Albert, Hubert Albert, and Peter Albert Jr., and one sister, Kathy Rogalio.
Graveside memorial services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in the spring, at a date and time to be announced by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
