The Groundhog shadow event allows students across the U.S. the ability to shadow organizations and/or trades that they have an interest in as a possible career.
Due to the generous hospitality of many partners, this year students were once again given the opportunity to see firsthand what a day in the life of their profession is all about.

The Job Corps students expressed appreciation to the many people who helped make this year and the years prior a great success, including Northern Maine Community College, WAGM TV, Caldwell’s Auto, The Aroostook Medical Center, Cary Medical Center, Hogan Tire, Cote Auto, Albears, Senator King’s office, Senator Collins’ office, EMS Caribou and the Caribou Library, just to name a few.
Job Corps officials said the annual job-shadowing event has allowed students to learn from folks in the industry and see up close what it takes to be successful in that chosen profession, while most importantly giving them hands-on training in an actual work environment.
