Caribou’s Savage makes all-rookie team

     WATERVILLE, Maine — Thomas College freshman guard Dayne Savage has been named to the Maine Men’s Basketball Coaches and Writers Association All-Rookie Team, the organization announced Friday.

     Savage, who starred at Caribou High School and graduated in 2015, started 13 of 27 games for the Terriers, averaging 22.1 minutes per outing. He ranked second on the team in assists (2.4 apg), third in steals (0.7 spg) and fourth in scoring (8.6 ppg) while also pulling down 2.2 rebounds per game. He scored a season-high 20 points in a 90-79 win at New England College and topped double-digits in 10 game.
