CONNOR TWP – Marie R. Haney, 80, wife of the late Calvin Haney, passed away March 19, 2016 at Connor. She was born in St. Francis, August 23, 1935, the daughter of the late Remi and Delina Jandreau. On June 10, 1954 she married Calvin Haney, and he predeceased her in 2003. Mrs. Haney was employed at Bell’s IGA, Maine Bag, as well as many area potato growers, including Kelley Packing. Marie loved to play Bingo and dance. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially at family barbeques. She loved growing a large vegetable garden and many will remember her delicious potato salad and beans. She volunteered many hours at the Bread of Life Soup Kitchen.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Cray and fiancé Dave McGraw of Caribou, Nancy DeGraves and husband David of North Carolina; three sons, Harold Haney and wife Lisa, Michael Haney and wife Sabrina all of Caribou, and Nathan Haney and fiancée Stephanie Kelley of Connor; one brother, Ronald Jandreau of Caribou; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two wonderful friends, Flo Berube and Edie Turner; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Haney was predeceased by a grandson, Kyle DeGraves; a great-granddaughter, Sarah Peterson; a brother, Rosaire; and a sister, Coralie Akerson.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home. 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 23 and from 2 p.m. Thursday until time of services, which will be held at 3 p.m. from the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev.
