     WOODLAND – Dorothy E. Peterson, 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Saturday morning, March26,2016,atBorderview RehabandNursingHomein VanBuren.ShewasbornMay 4, 1923, in Woodland, the daughter of Ralph C. and Bessie (Wiggins) Buzzell.

     She worked as a bookkeep- er for Aroostook Federation of Farmers, Potato Service Inc., McCain Foods, and Keith Nelson Insurance Agency.

     Dorothy was along time and active member of First Baptist Church of Woodland serving as Sunday school teacher, Superintendent, and Treasurer. She always had coffee and cin- namon rolls available for her friends and family to enjoy.

     She was an avid quilter, making custom made quilts for each of her grandchildren and children. Quilting on the big table on the porch at camp was a favorite way to relax and enjoy the lake.

     She was predeceased by her husband, George Peterson in 1993; a brother, Colby Buzzell; three sisters, Margaret Stevens, Elizabeth Buzby and Irene Lau; and a grandchild, Sally Sandra Peterson. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Jeffrey and Ruth Peterson of Brewer, and Robert and Joyce Peterson of Woodland; two daughters and their hus- bands, Deborah and Gary Cameron of Caribou, and Ruth and Randy Gauvin of Farmington; a sister, Ruth Goff of Mount Pocono, PA; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

     Friends may call at Noon Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Larry Palmer and Pastor Ron Rosser co-officiating. Spring inter- ment will be at Westmanland Cemetery, Westmanland.
