CARIBOU, Maine — Little Miss Caribou contestants displayed their talents and fashion at the Performing Arts Center last Sunday. Six-year-old Addison Lee Gove, daughter of Scott and Ann Gove, walked away with the title of Little Miss Caribou 2016.
Contestants were scored on their interview as well as their talent performance, and awards for ticket sales and congeniality were also presented during the pageant.
Abigail Leigh Barker, daughter of Tony and Cindy Barker, received the highest scoring interview while Addison Gove received the highest honor for her talent, which was dancing to the song “Night is Young” from the 2015 Disney film “Descendants.”
Gwendolyn Eva Anderson, daughter of Alexander and Connie Anderson, received the Little Miss Congeniality trophy as chosen by her peers.
Three awards were given to contestants who garnered the most ticket sales. The third-place award for ticket sales was a tie between Kadence Quinn McDougall, daughter of Shane and Vanessa McDougall, and Elizabeth Gene-Marie Robbins, daughter of Tim and Bobbi Jo Robbins. Anderson received second place for ticket sales, and Gove was awarded first place for highest ticket sales.
Awards were presented by 2015 Little Miss Caribou Libby Collier, who told the audience that time has gone by fast since receiving last year’s title.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Jefferson Cary Cancer Center.
