Miss Caribou contestants take stage next Friday

Proceeds go toward Jefferson Cary Cancer Center

CARIBOU — Three contestants will compete for the title of 2016 Miss Caribou next Friday, April 15, at the Caribou Performing Arts Center.

Taking place at 7 p.m., the pageant features Hannah McDonald, Julia Harris and Kelsie Washington.

Seventeen-year-old McDonald will be performing “This is the Moment”. Her sponsors include Farms Bakery and Beaulieu’s Garage.

Harris, also age 17, will be giving a piano and vocal performance of “My Daughter”. Eureka Hall Restaurant and Bacon’s Auto will sponsor Harris’ appearance.

Washington, 18, will be performing a contemporary pointe dance to the song “Time Lapse”. Her sponsors include the Houlton School of Dance, Bangor Ballet, and the Wakeman and Washington families.

 

Additional entertainment will be provided by 2015 Miss Caribou Kelsey Kiehn along with newly-crowned 2016 Little Miss Caribou Addison Gove. All proceeds from the event, which is being sponsored by the Caribou Lioness Club and Lister-Knowlton VFW Auxiliary, will go to the Jefferson Cary Cancer Center.
