NORTHFIELD, N.H. — Carol Ann Adams, 63, died on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, NH, after a short illness.

Carol was born in Laconia, NH, on December 30, 1952, and was raised by Phillip and Thelma Olsen. She was educated in Caribou, ME. Carol lived in Caribou for many years and was employed at the Sports Inn as a prep cook. After moving back to the Lakes Region she was employed as a housekeeper at the 1875 Inn in Tilton. While living in Caribou, she was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 9389 and also the Pine State Motorcycle Club in Mars Hill. Carol loved being involved in the annual Easter egg hunt that was put on for the local children. She loved spending time with her three grandchildren and could frequently be heard telling fond stories of her interactions with them.
She could always be counted on for her enthusiasm and festive decorating during all the holidays, which her grandchildren enjoyed immensely.
Her family includes: her daughter, Tricia Thompson and her partner, Kathleen Anderson, of Salisbury, NH; her two-stepdaughters: Francesca Mann and her husband, Paul Mann, of Waterville, ME, and Melody Gerry and her, husband Joe Gerry, of Detroit, ME; her brothers: Peter Olsen and his wife, Carol Olsen, of Caribou, and Ernie Rasmussen and his wife, Edna, of Spring Lake, North Carolina; her sister, Cathy Condon and her husband, Steve Condon, of Spring Lake, North Carolina; three grandchildren: Samantha Boudreau of Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, TJ Anderson-Thompson and Emma Anderson-Thompson of Salisbury, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in Evergreen Cemetery in Caribou in the spring.
Arrangements are under the care of the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton, NH.
