Subscribing adds a little bit of home

To the editor:

     I am subscribing to the Aroostook Republican for a couple of reasons.

     1. The Woodland and Caribou area is where my roots are. Although I’ve been away from that area since 1957 except for short visits, it is home.

     2. Maybe by getting the paper, it will also let my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren know some of their background — at least where it got started.

     I know places change over the years. People move away and others move in, but nothing can replace the memories.
