NEW SWEDEN — Mary E. Sirois, 97, passed away May 26, 2016 at Camden, where she had been residing with her youngest daughter, Gloria, and her husband Patrick. She was born in Caribou, August 6, 1918 the daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Bacon) Dickinson. Mrs. Sirois was a longtime resident of New Sweden and was last year’s recipient of the New Sweden Golden Cane, given to the oldest resident. She attended the New Sweden Baptist Church. Mary enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards with her kids and especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her five children; Warren Sirois of Presque Isle, Patricia Williams of Woodland, Wanda Kane of Saco, Robert Sirois of Acton and Gloria Ouillette and husband, Patrick, of Camden; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sirois was predeceased by her husband, Walter. The funeral service will be held at the New Sweden Baptist Church, Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Chris Hern and Rev. Tim Gillam officiating.
Interment will be in the New Sweden Cemetery. Following the services all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the church dining hall. Arrangements by the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com.
