CARIBOU — Mona Thibodeau, 83, passed away June 4, 2016 at Van Buren. She was born in Sainte-Anne-du-Madawaska, New Brunswick, Canada, February 23, 1933, the daughter of the late Felix and Marie-Louise (Damboise) Michaud. Mrs. Thibodeau was a longtime faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her family. Mona was a former member of the Van Buren Lioness Club.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Percy Thibodeau Jr. of Connor Twp., and Anson and Karen Thibodeau of Caribou; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Keith Boyer of Denver, CO., and Tina and David Willette of Caribou; her siblings, Yolande Desjardin of New Britain, CT., and Normand Michaud of Ontario, Canada, nine grandchildren; Carol Thibodeau, Roger Hebert and wife Julie, Todd Hebert, Tim Hebert and wife Kira, Amy Walker and husband Timothy, Sarah Thibodeau, Jennifer Ellsworth and husband Roger, Kelly Boyer and Eric Fuller;15 great grandchildren, Emma, Patrick, Helen, Lucy, Meghan, Connor, and Sage Hebert, Lauren, Luke, and Logan Edgecomb, Sam and Timmy Walker, Julia and Gabriella Ellsworth, and Warrick Fuller; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Thibodeau was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Linda; five brothers, Aurele, Gerald, Adrien, Lawrence and Omer Michaud, and a sister, Marie-Mai Bourgoin.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
