CASWELL & LIMESTONE — Eva M. Donovan, 88, wife of the late Loomis J. Donovan, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, June 12, 2016 at her Limestone home. She was born December 31, 1927 in Limestone, the daughter of Henry and Dora (Labreck) Fisher. She was a graduate of the Limestone High School Class of 1947 and was married to Loomis J. Donovan on December 18, 1947. Eva was a member of the United Baptist Church, Caribou, where she was active in the Mission Circle. She was employed at the former A&P Potato Processing Plant, later known as Interstates Foods, Fort Fairfield, where she worked in the packaging department for over 20 years; and was a volunteer for R.S.V.P. at the Caribou Nursing Home for over 20 years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Donovan was predeceased by her husband, Loomis on March 25, 1991; four brothers, Emery, Louis, Burt and James Fisher; three sisters, Stella Rider, Mary Jane Hendsbee and Evelyn Fisher; two grandsons, Shawn MacArthur and Michael Donovan; one great grandson, Tristen Donovan. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Gail Donovan of Woodland, David and Elaine Donovan of Caswell, Lloyd and Anita Donovan of Washburn; two daughters, Janet Donovan of Limestone, Carolyn Collins and her husband, Jim, of Portland; five grandchildren, Tressa Philbrook of Caribou, Kristie Donovan of Presque Isle, Brian Jandreau and his wife, Jill, of Windham, April Donovan of Presque Isle, Christopher MacArthur of Caribou, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends called Friday, June 17, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the United Baptist Church, 74 High Street, Caribou, where the funeral service was conducted at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Troy Heald officiating.
A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held at the church reception area immediately following the funeral service. Interment took place at 3:30 p.m. at Peers Cemetery, Caswell. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Donovan to the United Baptist Church, 74 High Street, Caribou, Maine 04736 or to the Rising Hill Boarding Home, 95 Access Highway, Limestone, Maine 04750.
