AUGUSTA — The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and the Maine Forest Service will host a statewide Landowner Appreciation Cleanup Day on Sunday, Sept. 18.
According to the MDIFW, public access to land for recreation is an important part of enjoying the outdoors, but illegal dumping can threaten that access. The cleanup day is one way for those who enjoy the outdoors to thank landowners for the use of their property.
Clubs or organizations can enter by calling Virginia Vincent at 287-5240 or emailing Virginia.Vincent@maine.gov.
