Joseph Albert Nadeau

     WASHBURN — Joseph Albert Nadeau, 69, husband of the late Carolyn (Bouchey) Nadeau, passed away August 24, 2016 at his Washburn residence after a brief illness. 

     He was born in Presque Isle, January 10, 1947, the son of the late Leo A. Sr. and Geneva (Perkins) Nadeau.

     Joseph attended Presque Isle schools and had been employed as a poly-machine operator for over 50  years with Potato Service in Presque Isle and Simplot in Presque Isle, retiring from McCain Foods in Easton in 2012. He was a member of the Washburn ATV Club, and loved to go on long ATV rides with club members and family, and also was an avid hunter and fisherman. 

     In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn, of 43 years; one brother, Marcel Nadeau; two sisters, Ann-Marie Wright, and Ruth Goode. He is survived by one son, Jeffrey Allen Nadeau of Portland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy Lyn Nadeau-Horton and husband, Victor of Newport, Joleen Ann and husband, Zeljko Dragu-tinovic of Royal Palm Beach, FL; one brother and sister-in-law, Leo A. Nadeau Jr. and his wife, Penny of Castle Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Veronica and husband, Carl Farley of Castle Hill; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 

     A celebration of Joseph’s life was conducted Saturday, August 27, 2016, beginning at noon at his home, 5 Gregg Lane, Washburn, ME.
