The Caribou and Fort Fairfield golf teams were in action last week, both on the road on courses in southern Aroostook County.
The Vikings traveled to Houlton last Wednesday to square off against the host Shires and the Presque Isle Wildcats.
Caribou recorded a score of 208 for the afternoon, led by Connor Plourde’s 51. Noah Rosado and Gabe Rand both had 52s and Stewart Curtis a 53.
Houlton’s Drew Marino was the medalist with a 37.
On Thursday, the Tigers played their season opener against Southern Aroostook at Va Jo Wa Golf Club in Island Falls. Fort Fairfield had a match score of 5-1/2 points to SA’s 3-1/2.
Jon Bernard shot a 51, Sara Edgecomb a 52 and Sadie Edgecomb a 55 for the Tigers.
