The Caribou golf team was busy last week, with three matches played over a five-day period.
Last Tuesday, the Vikes had a dual match against the Presque Isle Wildcats at Presque Isle Country Club. Noah Rosado shot a 49, but Caribou lost, 194-216.
Connor Plourde (53), Stewart Curtis (55), Gabe Rand (59) and Bailey Griffeth (59) rounded out the VIkings’ scores.
The Wildcats’ Hunter Flynn was the medalist with a 40.
On Friday at Houlton Community Golf Club, Griffeth was Caribou’s low man with a 47, but the Vikes lost, 180-204.
Rosado came in with a 51, Plourde a 52 and Rand a 54 on the afternoon.
Houlton’s Wyatt Harvey shot a 41 and captured medalist honors.
The Caribou Invitational took place Saturday, with Houlton and Presque Isle also taking part in the 18-hole event. Houlton tallied a 367 to win the exhibition, followed by PI with 381 and the host Vikes with 399.
The medalist was Drew Marino of the Shires with a 78.
Rosado led the Vikes by carding a 97 and Griffeth had a 99. Plourde (100) and Rand (103) followed.
