PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Upper St. John Valley Senior Golf Association held its final tournament of the summer Aug. 31, 2016 at Presque Isle Country Club, with 157 golfers attending.
Winners were as follows: Div. A gross: first, Jerry York, Houlton, 73; second, Gary Greene, Hartland, New Brunswick, 75; and third, Dan Hotham, Presque Isle, 76. Net: first, Charles Cote, Edmunston, N.B., 69; second, Frank Keenan, Presque Isle, 69; and third, Rick Pelletier, Long Lake, 70.
Div. B gross: first, Bert Boucher, Fort Kent, 75; second, Richard Winslow, Portage Hills, 78; and third, Harry Orser, Mars Hill, 80. Net: first, Mike Pelletier, Edmunston, N.B., 67; second, Fred Soucy, Edmunston, N.B., 69; and third, Everett Parker, Hartland, N.B., 70.

End-of-the-year awards were presented, with York winning the President’s Trophy for low gross average, Dale Plourde of Caribou winning the Governor’s Trophy for low net average and Richard Wilson of Portage Hills winning the Bud Survant Trophy for the low gross score among those 75 years of age or older.
The 2017 season will kick off at Aroostook Valley Country Club June 7.
