CASWELL — Letha V. Finnemore, 96, passed away Wednesday morning, September 14, 2016 at Caribou nursing facility, following a period of declining health.

She was born March 5, 1920 in Caswell, the daughter of Laurin F. Sr. and Beatrice (O’Neal) Finnemore. Letha attended Caswell schools and was a graduate of the Limestone High School, Class of 1937. She had been a dedicated member of the former Caswell Methodist Church where she served as organist and Sunday school teacher, and later attended the Limestone United Methodist Church. Letha had been employed at Cyr’s Department Store, Limestone for a number of years and also assisted with the family farming operation in Caswell.
She was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her brother, Laurin F. Finnemore Jr. of Caswell; as well as several extended family members.
Friends called Friday, September 16, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. The funeral service was conducted Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Meg McLaughlin Hegemann officiating. Interment followed at Advent Cemetery, Limestone.
