NMCC slates open house

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Northern Maine Community College will hold an open house for prospective students and families on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. at the campus on 33 Edgemont Drive in Presque Isle.

Visitors are welcome to tour the campus, labs and classrooms in session, see student demonstrations and presentations, and meet with admissions and financial aid staff. Light refreshments will be available and door prizes will be awarded.

“We’re looking forward to having the public interact with students, faculty and staff,” said President Tim Crowley. “If you haven’t visited our campus in a few years, you will be amazed at the technology available for the 37 degree and certificate programs offered here.”

NMCC’s programs are designed to enable students to enter the workforce with technically current skills and to prepare students for lifelong learning and career advancement opportunities. More than 90 percent of NM’s graduates are employed within six months of their graduation in jobs related to their training or are continuing their education.

Those who apply to the college on the day of the open house will have their application fee waived.
