Brazil vs. Columbia
Brazil had many goal scorers in this Aug. 31 matchup with Columbia, with Alex Levesque, Dylan Bouchard, Jaden Picard and Jacob Walton all getting into the action. Bouchard and Konnor Huckins had an assists. It was a team effort in offensive passing that lead to many of the goals. Brazil received good defensive stops by Tyra Sterner, Keegan Bell, Justin Walton and Macie Towson. Brazil’s goalies, Jaden Picard, Calvin Hersey and Jace Violette, saved many of Columbia scoring chances.
Timbers vs. D.C.
On Sept. 7, Owen Corrigan found the next multiple times for the Timbers. Landyn Waldemarson, Luke Beidelman had goals in the second half with an assist from Brynn Hamilton. Strong defense was played by Heather Gustin, Braxton McCrossin and Brady Barnes.
Revolution vs. D.C.
The Revolution played a hard fought game Sept. 12 but came up a little short to D.C. Alexander Chavatel made a nice pass to Brayden Brescia, who finished the play with the team’s only goal. Joslyn Griffeth and Gracie Rossignol also kept good offensive pressure on the DC defense. The Revolution defense also did a very good job with great hustle by Joshua Chavatel and Evan St. Peter.
D.C. (also known as the Yellow Jackets) threatened early and kept the momentum throughout. The team moved the ball well and hustled their way into striking distance several times. While on offense, Ashley Hartsgrove and Emily Fraser led some of those attacks with great confidence. Carsen Richards and Gage Hale both scored goals.
Timbers vs. Red Bulls
Owen Corrigan had a “hat trick” in the first half of the Sept. 12 contest. Brady Barnes and Damian Martin added to the score in the second half. Outstanding defense was led by Isabella Cherrier and Braxton McCrossin.
Brazil vs. USA
Brazil played hard in a tough game against the USA team on Sept. 12. Smart defense by Jace Violette and ball control by Dylan Bouchard kept the game evenly matched. Great hustle was turned in by Brazil’s Tyra Sterner and Justin Walton, while excellent field coverage by Mackenzie Lagasse and Macie Townson also led the way.
Revolution vs. Galaxy
On Sept. 14, the Revolution played its best game of the year against the much-improved Galaxy. “Pit” Pitre scored the first goal with a nice shot and an assist by Joslyn Griffeth. Hannah Willey was in great position when she punched in the second goal and Brayden Brescia added an insurance goal thanks to a nice pass from Trent Hersey in the last quarter. Desiree Ouellette had an outstanding game on defense as did Abby Haney, who also did a great job in the goal. Marshall Hersey turned away some great shots on goal by the Galaxy.
D.C. vs. Red Bulls
The D.C. (AKA Yellow Jackets) put the pressure on the Red Bulls for the first three quarters and finally found a groove in the fourth quarter and was able to strike with multiple shots on goal. However, the team was unable to connect for a goal.
Brazil vs. Columbia
Brazil had a very balanced scoring attack in its contest with Columbia on Sept. 14. Brazil was led by Jayden Picard and Jacob Walton who each had “hat tricks” and an assist, while Alex Levesque had two goals and three assists, Logan Griffeth two goals and Calvin Hersey and Konnor Huckins each added a goal as well. Brazil’s passing helped lead to many scoring opportunities, which they were able to capitalize on. Brazil also received good defensive efforts from Jace Violette and Emma Butler, who helped limit the scoring opportunities.
Red Bulls vs. Revolution
In the match held indoors Sept. 19, there was lots of scoring in the fast-paced game. Tristan Robbins put the ball in the goal to start the scoring for the Red Bulls. Edison Sleeper added two goals on the evening. Ty Hunter recorded a “hat trick” and Jacob McDougal closed out the scoring with a goal of his own.
Timbers vs. Galaxy
Also on Sept. 19, the game went back and forth and Owen Corrigan collected a “hat trick.” Luke Beidelman found the goal as well. Brady Barnes, Brynne Hamilton and Gwen Anderson played great defensively.
Timbers vs. Revolution
It was a team effort of great passing in the second half which led to three goals in the Sept. 22 contest. Though she did not score, Lauren Lister was a big offensive threat with some great shots and passes. Scorers for the Timbers in this matchup were Owen Corrigan and Luke Beidelman, while Brady Barnes and Landan Albair both had assists. Outstanding defense was played by Lister and Landyn Waldemarson.
