Three Fort Fairfield High School golfers earned the right to compete in Saturday’s high school individual championships, which took place at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro.
For the boys, Jon Bernard tied for eighth place in Class C by notching an 84 on the day. Logan Thompson of Mattanawcook Academy was the champion with a 67.
On the girls’ side, Sadie Edgecomb carded a 100, tying her for 21st overall. Twin sister Sara had a 106 to tie for 31st. The girls co-champions were Bailey Plourde of Lincoln Academy and Erin Holmes of Greely, each with 73s.
Bernard and the Edgecombs had qualified for the state meet at the Aroostook League championships in Houlton held Sept. 16.
