Caribou topped Fort Fairfield, 51-19, in an eighth-grade boys’ basketball game played Thursday. It was the first game of the season for the Vikings, coached by Steve Perreault.
Caribou led from the start and displayed a good fast break and a strong offense throughout. Ethan Holdsworth scored 13 points and Riley Bouchard and Sawyer Deprey had eight and seven, respectively. Caleb Espling chipped in with five points and Zack Madore and Jordan Duplissie were the top rebounders. Matt Smith and Carter Quist supplied solid defense.
