CARIBOU: National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Christmas party and installation of officers, 11:30 a.m. at Jade Palace. Buffet will be served.

CARIBOU: Northern Maine Development Commission executive board meeting, 12:30 p.m., NMDC boardroom. Lunch for Loan Review Committee and board members starts at 11:45.

Friday, Dec. 9

LIMESTONE: Christmas concert and variety show at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics, beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Admission is free and all are welcome. FMI: 325-3619.

LIMESTONE: Elf Pal Academy, hosted by Aroostook Paranormal Investigation Society, 3-4 p.m. at the Frost Memorial Library, 42 Main St. Games, activities, refreshments and Santa letter writing. CARIBOU: “Celebrating the Holidays with the Tuttles” at the Caribou Historical Center and Museum, featured now through December. Come explore the lives of Mr. and Mrs. Leander Tuttle. Open Saturdays 12-4 p.m., 1033 Presque Isle Rd.

CARIBOU: Caribou Choral Society 40th anniversary Christmas concert, “40 Years of Favorites,” at 7 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church. All are welcome.

FORT FAIRFIELD: Christmas tea, craft and bake sale, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 170 Main St., 12-2 p.m. Christmas tea luncheon, $5 at the door. Youth wreath raffle and special performance by St. Paul’s Quartet.

LIMESTONE: Annual Christmas gathering at the Limestone/Caswell Historical Society, 1-3 p.m. Sing carols and learn how gingerbread became associated with Christmas. Refreshments will be served.

LIMESTONE: Twin Riverswood Yule Celebration, 4-7 p.m. at former Legion hall, 2 Main St. Games, singing, dancing instruction and a medieval-inspired feast. Limited period clothing available to borrow. Free and the public is welcome; donations will be accepted for the feast.

PRESQUE ISLE: Civil Air Patrol open house at the Presque Isle operations center, 955 Missile Dr., hosted by County Composite Squadron of Presque Isle and Caribou, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Memorial program at 10:30 for longtime Lt. Col. Richard Saucier. POW/MIA table presentation and, weather permitting, aircraft display.
