Abby is an adult female Maine Coon-mix cat who came to Halfway Home Pet Rescue as a stray from Fort Fairfield. She is hoping to be reunited with her owner or to be adopted into a new loving family during the holidays. She will have all her medical completed by the time of adoption. Abby is well-mannered, clean about her environment and gets along with other cats and all the volunteers at the pet rescue. Those interested in adopting may visit HHPR’s Facebook page to complete an online application. |
Rescue officials said they are currently feeding more than 200 cats on a daily basis, including those at the rescue itself and feral colonies, and are always in need of Purina Cat Chow (blue bag, Complete) and Friskies canned food, as well as Fancy Feast canned food. The rescue also needs Fresh Step cat litter, both clumping and non-clumping.
Any donations may be dropped off at the adoption center, 489 Main St., at Beaulieu’s Garage at 490 Main St. or at the Second Chance Thrift Store, 31 Herschel St.
Rescue staff encourage donors to leave a card or note with their name and address so they can acknowledge the gift with a thank-you card.
