Ashland resident Florence Graham celebrated her 91st birthday Aug. 18 having a cookout with family and friends. Everyone feasted on barbequed foods, with her son, Tom, serving as the “Grill Master.” To everyone’s delight, her daughter-in-law, Diane Graham, made a Jell-O-mold dessert, a special family favorite, and using Florence’s recipe.
Hosted and organized by Diane Graham and Florence’s caregiver and friend, Sherry Scelza, the day could not have turned out more perfect! Some special friends in attendance were her brother, Gene Pickard from Mars Hill, niece, Helen Henderson, who traveled all the way from Brownville for the occasion, her long time friend, Ruth McKee from Ashland, her neighbor, Corrine Fish and Charlene Jacques from Presque Isle. Florence received a “memory box” that her friends and family filled with letters, photos, mementos and special memories.
Florence would like to thank everyone for all the calls and cards and for sharing in such a special day. It means a lot to her.
