PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Wintergreen Arts Center recently announced the cast of its first children’s musical, “We Are Monsters.”
Local playwright Darci Faye, teacher for Wintergreen’s After School Arts Program, is directing the new musical, with assistance from University of Maine at Presque Isle student Alexandra Kruczek, along with Presque Isle High School students: Aaron Swanson, music director; Sawyer O’Donnell and Tom Watson, assistant music directors; and Emily Sjoberg, choreographer.
“We Are Monsters” cast members include the following; some members have more than one role:
Humans: Mia Arcott (Jade), Emberlie McIntyre (Sunny), Zoey Violette (Westerly) and Madelyn Waugh (KC).

According to Wintergreen staff, the musical “follows human kids into a monster cabaret filled with quirky monster characters. The adventurous humans uncover vegetarian vampires and rock-n’-roll werewolves.”
The 14-week after-school program began rehearsals in January.
Show dates include Friday and Saturday, April 14 and 15 and April 21 and 22, at UMPI’s Wieden Hall.
