Katie Jane Peers and David Paul Danielson, Jr., were married July 4, 2009, in Blue Hill, Maine. The ceremony took place at St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Claudia Smith, Celebrant and Pamela Smith, Chalice Minister and Intercessor. A wedding reception followed at Kollegewidgwok Yacht Club in Blue Hill.
The bride is the daughter of Dale and Mary Peers of Easton. The groom is the son of David and Laura Danielson, Sr. of Blue Hill.
The matron of honor was Jennifer Tweedie, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were, Margaret Danielson, sister of the groom, Emily Peers, sister-in-law of the bride, Sara Williams and Kellie Shaughnessy, friends of the bride and Jillian Tweedie, niece of the bride. Janelle Tweedie served as flower girl. The best man was Peter Boyd Dodge, friend of the groom. Groomsmen included, Christopher Torrey, Harley Slaven, Simeon Allen, Curtis Jaffray, friends of the groom and Daniel Peers, brother of the bride. Charles Peers and Jonah Tweedie served as ring bearers.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Presque Isle High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Communications. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Southern Maine and is employed at the Blue Hill Consolidated Elementary School, as a special education teacher. The groom is a 1999 graduate of Lawrence Academy in Groton, Massachusetts and a 2003 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. He is the owner/operator of Union River Boat Company as a Marine Contractor in Blue Hill.
The couple are making their home in Blue Hill. They are planning a February 2010 honeymoon to the British Virigin Islands.
